Bolgatanga Nursing Training College was established in the 1950s for the
training of Enrolled Nurses and Midwives (auxillary nurses), Qualified
Registered Nurses and Midwives. Historically, the Nursing Training College and
the Midwifery Training College shared the same umbilical cord.
